A day after the Delhi Police rescued two minor children, where a one-year-old girl was found dead while her three-year-old sister was found unconscious at a farmhouse in West Delhi’s Nihal Vihar area on Monday evening, enraged family members of the two children on Tuesday set ablaze the farmhouse where they were reportedly found locked for more than three days.
Manoj, father of the two children alleged that despite sharing with the local police details about the alleged kidnapper of his two daughters, the police did not take timely action which led to the death of his one year old daughter Vinita, who died due to starvation.
Sources further elaborated that police are questioning the owner of the farmhouse, Meher Singh. Meanwhile, Section 304A of IPC (causing death due to negligence) has been added to the case of kidnapping, registered at the Nihal Vihar police station.
Sources said that while the one year old girl allegedly died due to starvation, the three year old minor girl was lying on a sofa inside the farmhouse.
Manoj Anuragti, a security guard said, “My wife was washing clothes at our house in Nilothi village area when my two daughters, one year old Vinita and three year old laxmi went missing. I searched everywhere but they could not be found. We approached the local police and registered a kidnapping case stating that the caretaker’s wife is behind the kidnapping. However, the police did not take any action.”
