The Dasna toll bridge of National Highway Authority of India at Dasna point on NH-24 remained unattended for about two hours and vehicles continued passing when the BJP MlA Dalbeer Singh from Baroli constituency in Aligarh stopped at toll plaza and alleged that the toll collectors were collecting toll illegally since the validity of this toll plaza had expired.
In a telephonic talk to this correspondent the MlA said that when I was passing through this toll plaza on Sunday noonand found the men collecting toll.
“As I found the toll receipt in one passenger’s hand and and told the toll collector that the validity of this point has expired, the toll collecting men first asked my credentials then they ran away from there after knowing that I am the MlA from Baroli assembly constituency in Aligarh . During my stay of about two hours the toll plaza remained unattended and the vehicles continued pass freely” said Dalbeer Singh to this correspondent on phone.
“After that I talked to the district magistrate and told her the entire episode and asked her to file an FIR against the illegal toll collectors who are defaming the our government. She assured me that she would enquire from the state and act accordingly after getting authentic information added the MlA. Earlier I had an unconfirmed knowledge that validity of Dasna toll plaza had expired. It confirmed to my mind when the toll collectors fled the spot.
“We are checking the status on the complaint of the MlA” said DM Ghaziabad Ritu Maheswari to this correspondent when sought her comments on the episode.
