Three persons have been caught in connection with a Rs11 lakh heist on June 17 at the Greater Kailash-1 residence of Daikin MD. The arrested have been identified as Rohit, Rahul and Khalil Ahmed with police claiming to have recovered the stolen goods and weapons used in the crime.
Police said Rohit along with Rahul and Khalil had hatched a plan to break-in, adding Khalil was a carpenter who shared the target’s property details with Rohit. On Wednesday, two of the accused, by posing as courier boys, entered the MD’s residence on the pretext of delivering a parcel in the name his wife and robbed articles valued at Rs11 lakh, Rs50,000 in cash, debit card and other documents. “During investigation, it was found that someone had leaked information to the culprits, thereby making it easier to execute the crime. All the workers, who had worked with the complainant for the last few years, were screened and service providers such as carpenters, electricians etc were grilled,” said a senior police officer.
