Delhi BJP MPs and leaders are miffed with top bureaucrats of Delhi Government for not carrying out development works across the national Capital. Standing outside Secretariat, BJP MP from North-East Delhi Manoj Tiwari was incensed with the officials of the Delhi Government. Talking to The Pioneer, Tiwari said he has written more than 150 letters to the top bureaucrats of Delhi administration and strangely, they went unanswered. “I have written over 150 letters to Delhi bureaucrats but they went unacknowledged. My phone calls to them go unanswered,” he said.
Tiwari met Chief Secretary DM Spolia to register his
grievances. “I asked him come out of his office and look at the condition of the common man,” he said. Tiwari also
stated that Spolia has agreed to come along with him to take a look at North-East Delhi on January 3 next year. With
similar complaints, other
parliamentarians of Delhi also met bureaucrats to register their grievances in the past
one week.
Tiwari said roads have been encroached on by parking mafias, bus stops are worse for wear, there is no water supply, filth and dirt everywhere in his constituency. “The land mafias have encroached on parks, unauthorised markets are coming up and there are no street lights in various localities,” he said. Tiwari said there is no development works in his constituency, which
by far is one of the most
underdeveloped constituencies in Delhi.
“Election is not an issue. It will take place when it has to be but development work should not stop,” said Tiwari.
