Following the surge in the Covid-19 cases in National Capital, the Delhi Police on Wednesday issued order and directed personnel to use necessary precautions while maintaining law and order situation in the city. Meanwhile, in another order, the Delhi Police stated that the Delhi Traffic Police shall not challan any person for violating Covid-19 protocol - be it for not wearing masks or spitting in public places and shall concentrate on regulating the traffic.
According to order issued by Chinmoy Biswal, the Deputy Commissioner of Police on Wednesday, in view of the spread of Coronavirus in Delhi, each police station shall detail one dedicated team comprising of an upper subordinate and one lower subordinate to report to one location in their respective district to prosecute persons who violate protocols such as, not wearing of masks, not maintaining social distancing, spitting etc.
