Conman conned by AAP: BJP

The BJP on Tuesday termed the AAP as “maha thug” party after jailed conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar claimed its leader Satyendar Jain “extorted” Rs 10 crore from him as ‘protection money’. They said that the conman was conned by AAP.

Chandrashekhar has written to the Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena alleging that Jain “extorted” Rs 10 crore from him in 2019 to ensure his safety in prison, his lawyer said on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters, party spokesperson Sambit Patra citing the letter alleged the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) did a thuggery with a thug and termed the AAP a “maha thug” party.

“It is learned from news that there has been a thuggery in the house of a thug. And the name of the thug is Sukesh Chandrashekhar. And the person who cheated the thug is Aam Aadmi Party leader Satyendar Jain,” Patra said.”A conman was conned by AAP,” he said. He further alleged the AAP had extorted money from the conman and it showed that the party was “hardcore corrupt”.

Describing Sukesh as a “thug”, Patra said, he is an accused in 15 cases and the letter has revealed that both “Jain and the conman are friends.”

Reacting on the issue, West Delhi MP, Pravesh Sahib Singh alleged that despite the BJP demand, Jain is not being shifted to any other jail from Tihar Jail as the Jail administration comes under the Kejriwal government.

“Jail is just an excuse; the reality is to run business smoothly from inside. The ideals and rules of Delhi's Tihar Jail used to be discussions of law, which Kejriwal government mixed in the soil.

“Kejriwal came to power, playing the drum of honesty, the same corrupt and false government is running in the national Capital,” said Singh, while addressing the media.

Responding to the matter the leader of opposition, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri has appealed to the L-G to take strict action in the issue and immediately sack Jain from the cabinet. “Jain has made mockery of the constitution and he has no right to stay as Minister. After all the allegations and proofs against him, I wonder that why Kejriwal is not dismissing him from the cabinet?” said Bidhuri.

“I appeal to L-G to take matter into his hands and take strict action agtain st those who is involved in this matter and immediately remove Jain from his post,” Bidhuri added.

Meanwhile, taking the matter to the Twiiter, Amit Malviya, BJP IT cell, commented, “AAP and it’s jailed Jail Minister Satyendra Jain conned conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, extracted 10 crore as protection (in Tihar) money and 50 crore for an influential party position in South India. AAP leaders are extortionists. Satyendra is still a minister in Kejriwal’s Govt…”
