Delhi Congress will hold a “Sansad Gherao” on Tuesday to protest against uncontrolled price rise, unemployment and worsening law and order situation in the national Capital.

Congress Delhi unit president Anil Kumar said “The centre and AAP Government are only making false promises without taking effective steps to control price rise and inflation. He said that the common people have yet to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic devastation due to the apathetic approach of the Government.

Kumar said that people are distraught and the Congress has been raising these issues, farmers’ issues and mounting attacks on Dalits and a concerted move to sideline them, inside and outside Parliament.

Party also observed the 65th  Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Bharat Ratna Dr Baba Saheb Bheem Rao Ambedkar. Kumar said that Dr Ambedkar played an important role in the framing of the Constitution and to ensure justice to all, so that every citizen of the country could get equal opportunity to grow and prosper economically, socially and educationally.

On the occasion, Congress vice-president Jaikishan said that Babasaheb ensured a dignified life to the downtrodden community. “The Kejriwal government has done nothing to uplift the poor and people of downtrodden communities who are badly affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown,” he said.
