Cong takes a dig at AAP’s Punjab CM face Mann

Taking a dig at AAP national Convenor Arvind Kejriwal over his announcement to make Bhagwat Mann as Punjab Chief Minister face, Delhi Congress president Anil Kumar said that Kejriwal has adopted a devious method of taking bogus “public opinion” on every issue to fool the people.

"The move was announced as Mann had already threatened to leave AAP if his name was not projected as the Chief Ministerial candidate. Kejriwal had no option but to project him as CM conducting a fake survey," he said.

Kumar said that  the people of Punjab know very well that Mann is just a rubber stamp of Arvind, and his incompetence and inability  to do anything worthwhile, have been thoroughly exposed.

"Delhi CM was in habit of fooling people on the name of public opinion as he did not consult Delhiites, including residents’ welfare associations, social welfare, religious and educational institutions before liberalizing the Excise Police, including lowering of the liquor consumption age from 25 to 21 years, to make easy availability of liquor in the Capital," he added.

The Congress president also said that the few AAP leaders who stayed with the party have already deserted AAP, and Arvind had no other choice but announce the name of Mann in the absence of a viable alternative, as no one wants to associate with Arvind’s autocratic style of functioning. Kumar said that Arvind told such blatant lies that on the one hand, he had promised to make Punjab “Nasha Mukt” while on the other hand, he liberalized the liquor policy in Delhi  to drive the unemployed youth to liquor addiction.
