The workers of Delhi Congress on Sunday held demonstration in 280 blocks in the national Capital against the Central and Delhi Government for failing to check the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene, lPG and other essential commodities.

Addressing the gathering of the party workers, Ajay Maken said both BJP and the AAP are responsible for the rising prices as the Central Government has increased the excise duty 11 times on petrol and diesel whereas the Delhi Government has increased ‘Value-Added Tax’ three times. He also said that the Government has also failed to curb hoarding of essential commodities in Delhi which is also one of the main cause for the rising prices in Delhi.

Maken said in the year 2014 the kerosene oil was available at Rs 14.96 per liter whereas it has gone to Rs  22.65 per liter in 2018. He said in the same way one lPG Cylinder was available at Rs 414 in the year 2014 which has increased to Rs .736 in 2018.

Former MP Sajjan Kumar, Mahabal Mishra, Haroon Yusuf, Dr Narendra Nath,  Kiran Walia, and Chattar Singh were also participated in the protest.
