Cong plagiarising our ideas, claims AAP

In a scathing attack on Congress , Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj accused the Congress of plagiarising ideas and manifesto points from their party.

Addressing a Press conference on Thursday, Bharadwaj asserted that the Congress not only faced leadership issues but also a crisis of ideas. He warned that if Opposition parties fail to unite for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, there might not be an election in the country next time. Bharadwaj even claimed that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi is re-elected in 2024, he could potentially change the Constitution and declare himself the country’s “king” for life. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva dismissed Bharadwaj’s claims as baseless.

Highlighting the alleged theft of ideas, Bharadwaj stated, “Not only is there a leadership crisis in the Congress, but there is also a crisis of ideas. Its connection with the people has ended.

The oldest party in the country has started stealing ideas and manifestos from the newest party in the country (AAP). The word ‘Guarantee’ has also been copied from us.”

Bharadwaj pointed out instances where the Congress reportedly replicated AAP’s initiatives, including the free bus rides for women in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.

He criticised the Congress for opposing AAP’s schemes in the past but implementing similar programs in other states.

The AAP leader mentioned that the Congress had previously mocked AAP’s proposals but later announced similar schemes in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka, albeit with additional conditions.

The AAP leader accused the Congress of lacking talented individuals to lead the party, referring to them as the “CCC — Copy Cat Congress.”

He claimed that the Congress was disconnected from the ground realities and lacked party workers who understood people’s issues.

Regarding the upcoming Opposition conclave in Patna on June 23, Bharadwaj emphasized the need for opposition parties to come together to fight the BJP. He warned that the BJP was suppressing the opposition through various means.
