The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) on Tuesday said the party has decided to launch Pol Khol Abhiyaan all over the State from Sunday onwards against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Government and Arvind Kejriwal, holding them responsible for lying and acting irresponsibly on a serious issue like the Jan lokpal Bill to mislead people.
First meeting will take place at Central Park in Connaught place on February 23. The party also claimed that a Minister of the AAP Government spent over `1 lakh on snacks during the 49-day tenure.
Criticising the AAP Government, senior party leader Mukesh Sharma blamed the Government had not held people at ransom and at the mercy of officialdom but had deliberately not allowed the Finance Bill to be passed. In the history of the Delhi Assembly for the first time, a Government had created a constitutional and administrative dilemma in Delhi, Sharma added.
Sharma said Kejriwal should also be declared an absconder. “He will be held fully responsible when the people of Delhi get power and water bills at twice the rate. The AAP, which talked of swaraj rule, had completely stopped all-round developments in 49 days in the name of mohalla sabhas. The Cabinet meeting, under the leadership of Delhi Chief Minister, had also created another constitutional crisis by stopping the budgetary allocation in the name of delegating authority to the mohalla sabhas,” said Sharma.
