Former Delhi Minister and senior Delhi Congress leader Haroon Yusuf on Monday demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
Addressing the media, Yusuf said that Kejriwal was the protector of the liquor mafia, and should be held responsible for the Excise Policy scam. He said that Sisodia should have quit on his own when the Lieutenant-Governor ordered a CBI probe into the scam, and raids were held at his office and residence and that of his associates in various locations.
“The curse of implementing the destructive liquor policy cannot be washed away by taking cover in the advertisement-based ‘Delhi Model of Education’, as the people of Delhi have now realised the kind of corruption perpetuated by the Delhi Government in the past eight years,” he claimed.
