Cong declares pamphlet war on BJP, AAP

Delhi Congress unit Chief Ajay Maken on Wednesday announced to distribute pamphlets in 13 lakh households across the national Capital to highlight the failure of both the parties. The decision to distribute pamphlets named "Kejriwal Evam BJP Ka Sach, Janana Aap Ka Haq" was taken in a meeting held on Wednesday.

Maken said the AAP has failed to fulfil the promises it made before the Assembly elections and the BJP-run municipal corporations failed in clearing garbage, providing pension to the old, widows and the handicapped and providing respite from sealing and demolition drive.

He also said that the dharna politics was carried out in connivance with the lieutenant Governor as it suited both the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) to hide its failures.

He said that after his first stint of 49 days rule in Delhi, Kejriwal apologised to the people of Delhi. later, he also apologised to Majithia, Arun Jaitley and Kapil Sibal but did not apologise to the Chief Secretary of Delhi who was allegedly beaten up. Maken further said the CM even did not express any regret on the incident as he did not want the matter to be resolved.

Maken further said the BJP is helping the AAP by saving its 20 MlAs from disqualification earlier this year. "Election Commission of India has never taken more than a couple of months to decide on disqualification matters. But in this case, it has taken more than three years and the decision is still pending," he said.

Maken also said the Congress has ruled the city for15 years and delivered on its promises under the present constitutional setup. Even the Congress Party successfully executed major development works during the BJP reign at centre in 1998-2004.

"The development including power reforms, conversion of entire public transport system into CNG, construction of various flyovers, initiation and completion of large-scale metro connectivity, development of Sonia Vihar water treatment plant were done without any obstacle and excuse," he added.

He also accused Kejriwal of desperately trying to cover-up his governance failures by blaming the administrative setup of Delhi and non-co-operation by the bureaucracy.
