The Delhi Congress on Sunday organised a public meeting in Sultanpur Mazra and burnt effigies of Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for making false promises regarding regularisation of unauthorised colonies, dividing the society in the name of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) across the country.
Addressing the public meeting, former MLA and senior dalit leader Jai Kishan accused the Modi Government of misleading the people of unauthorised colonies on the regularisation. On the CAA, he said the Centre is doing bigotry and dictatorship and wants to crush the Opposition. He was also critical of UP police which misbehaved with Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra during her visit in UP.
