leader of Opposition (loP) in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta has criticised Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s statement to bring a legislation for the establishment of a Commission for Schedule Cast (SC) and Schedule Tribes (ST).
Gupta said Kejriwal is playing with the emotions of SC and ST people. “The timing of such announcements made by the CM is a political stunt and he is violating the Model Code of Conduct,” said Gupta.
He demanded that Election Commission of Delhi should take immediate strong action in the matter. This announcement of the CM is only a ploy to exploit the sentiments of SC and ST communities.
Gupta said Kejriwal has made statement to form an SC and ST Commission to only woo the voters in Delhi. “The fact is that Kejriwal is least concerned about them,” he said.
“Contrary to his statement for forming SC and ST commission, he deliberately did not appoint Minister for Welfare of SC and ST for more than eight months after dismissal of Sandeep Kumar,” Gupta added.
