Delhi BJP on Friday lashed out at the AAP saying that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is trying to cover up the wrongdoings of his Government by putting the blame on Lieutenant-Governor (L-G) VK Saxena and the bureaucracy.
Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said that Kejriwal is blaming L-G for his own inefficiency but a liquor scam worth thousands of crores took place in the national Capital and the Delhi Government itself withdrew the new liquor policy.
“Will Kejriwal tell whether the L-G asked him to withdraw the liquor policy for this? The liquor policy was withdrawn because the AAP Government came to know that this scam has been exposed,” Bidhuri alleged.
“The decision to purchase one thousand buses in the Capital was withdrawn by the AAP Government because there was a huge scam in the purchase of buses.
The balance sheet of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has not been prepared since 2016, has the L-G asked for this also. Despite the court saying, neither the audit of the Board was done, nor was the balance sheet prepared. Has Saxena issued any instructions for this also?” Bidhuri questioned.
“Being the CM, he should not make such irresponsible statements. He should disclose which officer has told him so. If he will not tell, then it means he is lying, and such a liar has no right to continue in his post. He should immediately resign from his post,” Bidhuri said.
The LoP said that Kejriwal have to prove which officers are not working intentionally or are following some other instructions. “The truth is that the AAP does not know how to run the Delhi Government and they violate the rules at every step, which the officers refuse to accept.
The Kejriwal Government has abolished Question Hour in the Delhi Assembly. The right of the members to ask questions has been taken away,” Bidhuri added.
However, Delhi BJP working president Virendra Sachdeva has said that Kejriwal is a master of melodrama and after his meeting with L-G, he again showed melodramatic oratory skills but this time his melodrama neither succeeded nor has struck cord with people of the national capital.
