The Leader of Opposition  of Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Wednesday said that the Central Government has provided fund for the electric buses but Arvind Kejriwal is taking credit for the same. Bidhuri further added that even before this, the e-buses running on city roads were also gifted by the Modi government.

“I am surprised that how the Chief Minister did not feel any shame and was patting his back and taking the credit for bringing electric buses to Delhi roads. Kejriwal should thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving these state-of-the-art buses as he always thinks about the development of the national Capital,” said Bidhuri adding that these bueses were funded by the Central government.

The BJP leader said that Delhi is already facing the stigma of being the most polluted capital of the world today due to the wrong policies of the AAP government. “In such a situation, today's inducted electric buses will prove to be a lifeline for Delhi. This shows the concern of the Central Government towards Delhi. These electric buses will help in fighting pollution and Delhi's public transport system will also become more accessible with these buses,” said Bidhuri.

“Delhi has the least number of 3760 DTC buses on roads today. In the year 2015, when AAP government came to power, the number of these buses was more than 6500. Due to non-availability of buses in last eight years, all these 3760 buses have become overage and there are reports of a fire in them every day,” he said.
