“Game over, bro”, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday said, hitting out at senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan over his “regime change” remarks.

Reacting to a viral video clip of Bhushan speaking about “regime change” at a press conference, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said they stand “exposed” and alleged that this is the “true face” of the Congress, AAP and CJP.

Bhushan on Thursday called for a “regime change” amid the ongoing protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the ongoing SIR, stressing that it is the democratic right of every citizen.

“Game over, bro. The agenda is exposed. It was never about protest. It was all about ‘regime change’. Their hunger for power is so insatiable that they are ready to stoop to any level, from using the youth and farmers as pawns, to dividing society in the name of caste and language, to attacking the credibility of the country’s constitutional institutions,” the chief minister said in a post on X.   This is the true face of the politics of the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party and Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), she added.

Speaking to an event in Shalimar Bagh, the chief minister also said the opposition leaders have no concern for any woman beyond the women in their own families, be it a sister, daughter, woman party worker or journalist. “Their conduct repeatedly reflects their disrespect towards women. They have neither regard for the nation nor any concern for society,” she said.

On the occasion of Sharadiya Navratri, the chief minister performed Kanya Pujan at CM Shri School in Shalimar Bagh. During the programme, bicycles were distributed to around 1,400 Class IX girls studying in various government schools here. Under the Vidya Vahini Scheme, 28,000 bicycles have been distributed across Delhi so far. The government aims to distribute a total of 1.5 lakh bicycles. A day earlier at a press conference with CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and leaders of student organisations and activists, Bhushan also said that spreading “disaffection” against a government is not a crime in a democracy, adding that the struggle is now “really for a regime change”.
