Blame game has begun as civic elections are just few days away. Delhi State BJP president Manoj Tiwari said that the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is apprehensive of his defeat and is
making all type of noises and allegations.
Tiwari said that his (Arvind Kejriwal) demand to postpone the corporation elections is a proof of his desperation and various courts of the country and the Election Commission has from time to time in several cases given verdict that EVMs are fully reliable means of election. “Due to continuous defeat in the elections he has forgotten that he had won 67 out of 70 in the elections held through the EVMs only,” he added.
Attacking on Kejriwal Government, he added that Delhi CM rules like Tughlaq misusing the public money for his defence and political expansion. “Kejriwal had come to power by claiming purity in administration and today the people of Delhi want to ask him few questions,” he added.
“You preach on politics of purity and underneath what rules can you justify the proposed payment of around 4 crore rupees out of the public money for defence in your private legal case IJ” ask Tiwari. “Why are you then mum on the orders to refund 97 crore rupees on the basis of the report of Tandon committee formed by the Supreme Court and Why did the Delhi Government sit over the file relating to land poolingIJ,” he said further.
Tiwari further said that during the last few days in his election Delhi CM has repeatedly said that if BJP wins MCD elections it will take away the water and power departments from Delhi Government and hike the power-water tariff.
He also said that Kejriwal’s political knowledge is very weak. He does not know that water and electricity services were under the Municipal Corporation prior to 1993.
He also said that this statement of Kejriwal is misleading because DJB is under his Government’s jurisdiction and Government is partner in the power Discoms. In this situation Kejriwal’s propaganda is completely misleading.
Meanwhile the leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta said that he will meet lieutenant Governor on Wednesday along with delegation of BJP legislators OP Sharma and Jagdish Pradhan, to demand ending of misuse of crores of public money by Aam Admi Party led Delhi Government and punitive action against those found guilty.
Gupta said Kejriwal Government, which came to power with the promise of ending corruption, is totally involved in corruption.
“Instead of working for development of Delhi and public welfare, is busy serving their political interests by openly misusing public resources and systems,” said Gupta.
