On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Delhi lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit extended their greetings to all Delhiites. In his message, the l-G said, "May almighty grant his choicest blessings to all our countrymen and may India march ahead to claim its rightful place as a leader among all nations."
Terming Eid as an integral part of the composite culture of Delhi, Dikshit said, "Eid is a festival of happiness. It comes after a month-long fast during the holy Ramazan. This festival has become an integral part of Delhi's culture."
Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel has also wished the people of Delhi on Eid and said may this festival bring joy to their lives."Eid gives a message of brotherhood and social harmony in the society and provides opportunity to share happiness with fellow citizens," said Goel.
