lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit extended their greetings to all on the occasion of India's 67th Independence Day. In their respective messages, they expressed hope all citizens will continue to work sincerely to make the city as well as the nation a strong and prosperous place.
"This solemn occasion must be a time for all of us to reflect upon how each one of us can contribute to the cause of building the nation in our own unique way," Jung said. In a statement, Dikshit said, "Our future is linked to the stability of the country and cementing of the democratic system."
