Extending Diwali greetings to Delhiites, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday urged Delhiites to celebrate the festival in an eco-friendly and safe manner.
She urged them to use green firecrackers in accordance with prescribed standards and to enhance the joy of the festival through the traditional illumination of diyas, rangoli, sweets and mutual harmony. She emphasised that providing clean air is the government’s responsibility, and citizen participation is equally important in achieving it. The chief minister attended a grand Diwali celebration organised at the Central Park, Connaught Place.
On this occasion, thousands of drones presented a grand display of the divine play of Lord Shri Ram, Lord Ganesha, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Hanuman in the sky. This event, a wonderful confluence of modern technology, Indian culture, and Sanatan faith, gave Diwali celebrations in the capital a new identity.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said, “Today, on the auspicious occasion of Chhoti Diwali, we have all gathered in the Central Park of Connaught Place to celebrate Green Diwali.” Thousands of drones will showcase the divine play of Lord Rama in the sky, and the joy of Diwali will be shared with the sacred aarti of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha. This is a remarkable event for Delhi, one the capital has never seen before.
The Chief Minister said that under the Sanatani government, Delhi’s negative image is changing, and the capital is establishing a new identity through its culture.
He said Delhi belongs to us, and its responsibility is ours too. We will face the inherited problems together. Because no matter how deep the darkness, truth, justice, and righteousness will prevail.
The Chief Minister stated that Delhi’s Diwali will bring joy to hearts and give the capital a new identity.
Inspired by the ideals of Lord Rama, Delhi is being moved forward in a positive direction. The chief minister said Delhi will promote large-scale events through the Yamuna Safari and the Concert Economy, giving Delhiites new experiences of joy and celebration, strengthening the capital’s identity, and creating new opportunities.
The Chief Minister said hosting large-scale cultural and entertainment events in Delhi will further strengthen the capital’s festive atmosphere. Such events will give Delhiites new experiences and play a vital role in establishing an attractive, positive identity for Delhi.
