A Class XI student was critically injured after being stabbed by a group of students of another school while he was returning home in North Delhi’s Timarpur area on Wednesday. The victim received three stab wounds and was rushed to Bara Hindu Rao Hospital where his condition is stated to be very critical. Police have registered a case of attempt to murder against unknown persons and investigation has been taken up.
The victim, identified as Eeshu (15), studies in a Government school in Timarpur area. He was returning home after the school around 1 pm when he was attacked just a few meters from his school. “He was alone and walking on the street when a group of students, 4-5 in numbers, attacked him with sharp edged weapons. They also beat him before stabbing and fled from the scene,” said a police officer.
Police was informed when the passersby heard the screams of the boy who was bleeding profusely. “He has undergone two surgeries and his condition is critical,” said a police officer, adding prima facie it looks likes the case of personal revenge over some petty issue.
