A student of Class X who allegedly carried a pistol to his school to threaten his senior with whom he had a fight over a petty issue was apprehended by police along with two of his adult accomplishes.  The incident was reported on Thursday in a school situated in Vikaspuri area of West district.

Police officials said they are probing whether the gun that the juvenile had carried in the school was a licensed one or was procured illegally. Even if the gun was a licensed one, the person holding the arms license will be hauled up, they added.

According to a senior police official, during a picnic organised by the school on Wednesday, two teenagers in private school got into an altercation after one of them directed the other to push the swing.

"Enraged over  the sharp exchange of words, the 15-year-old boy on Thursday afternoon brought a pistol and two men with him to the school for helping him exact revenge on the class 12 student," said the senior police official.

"The accused who was accompanied by other two men started quarrelling with the senior students and showed them the pistol. However they were overpowered by the guards in the school and handed over to police," said the senior police official.

"Two of his accomplishes are aged 22 and 28. The weapon belongs to either of the two men and efforts were being made to ascertain its ownership.

The father of the accused owns a jewellery shop where one of the accomplices used to work. We have registered a case and further investigation is going on," said the senior police official.
