It will be flagged off from the gate of Kamla Nehru Ridge (Bonta) on Rajpur Road and will go around major roads of Civil lines with the theme for the walk being Civil lines Rallies For Women’s Security. Club Class, a two-year old forum of residents of Civil lines in the first initiative under this project, will install security cameras at 12 important junctions in the area with the help of Delhi Police.
Thousands of residents of Civil lines and neighbouring areas will be seen participating in the rally. The vision statement of Project Nirbhay is: Our security is our responsibility.
The Government agencies are our enablers. Every citizen must proactively contribute to making one’s neighbourhood safer. Only cooperative security measures can make us immune to security threats.
