In order to address the “no supply complaints” of power consumers, Reliance-backed BSES has launched additional phone numbers for consumers to register complaints and has also increased the number of personnel call-centres by around 50 per cent.

In a statement issued on Friday, BSES said it has also deployed Quick Response Teams (QRTs) for faster resolution of complaints and 200 additional personnel to monitor faults and restore power supply.

“During the financial year 2015-2016, BSES discoms invested a capital expenditure of over Rs 550 crore to strengthen the infrastructure and added transformation capacity of over 450 MVA.

Three 50 MVA EHV Grids were commissioned in Central Delhi, Najafgargh and Mundka to take care of the growing power demand. These new grids have helped meet the additional power demand,” it said.

“Apart from capacity addition, BSES discoms undertook several measures during the year to spruce-up the distribution network. These include preventive maintenance, load balancing at the Sub stations, ensuring earthing of sub stations etc… We are also working in tandem with generation companies and Delhi Transco ltd to ensure that the entire generation, transmission and distribution system is aligned to meet the summer load,” it added.
