The Central Industry Security Force (CISF) on Saturday restored an unclaimed bag containing Rs 95,000 in cash and valuable items at Pulbangash Metro Station to its rightful owner, Bhavna (35) resident of Punjabi Basti who had forgotten to collect her back after security check.
After noticing an unclaimed bag, CISF scanned it and CCTV footage was reviewed to identify the owner. In the footage, it was revealed that bag belonged to a lady passenger.
Assuring no danger item in bag, it was opened in the presence of the Station Controller.
Subsequently, the bag was deposited with the Station Controller, CISF spokesperson stated.
The owner came to claim the bag on the same day and after proper verification the bag was returned to her, they said. The honesty displayed by the CISF personnel was appreciated by the owner of the bag.
