Chadha lashes out Bidhuri for obscene language against farmers

Aam Aadmi Party national spokesperson Raghav Chadha on Tuesday hit out at the Centre and BJP MP from South Delhi Ramesh Bidhuri for using "obscene" language for the farmers protesting at Delhi’s borders.

Chadha said the BJP has been living with the assumption that the farmers are small, weak and helpless and that their movement can be easily suppressed.

“The amount of insult and abuse inflicted upon these farmers in the last few days by the BJP cannot be fathomed. The ruling party at the Centre has tried every trick in the book to break the farmers--from the use of water cannons and tear gas, to building trenches and putting up barbed wire fences. When the farmers reached the Singhu and Tikri borders, the BJP realised the farmers’ extraordinary will, and thus, resorted to using vulgar language to describe this movement," he said.

Talking about the umpteen efforts to insult the farmers and uproot their movement,  Chadha said, “This is the last straw. Is this how our country’s farmers ought to be treated? Are leaders using such filthy language on the directions of the Prime Minister? he asked.

The senior party leader also mentioned the different allegations made by BJP leaders, especially regarding farmers movement being funded by Pakistan and Canada.

The AAP spokesperson appealed to the Prime Minister to take a long and hard look at the faces of each farmer sitting at Singhu and Tikri. “The wrinkles on their face will tell you how hard they work, sowing their land with blood and sweat; their bent shoulders will show you how hard he ploughs their land. Now is the time to heal these wrinkles, and not abuse our farmers," he said.

On the one hand, the Union Agriculture Minister has said that they are ‘ready for talks, and will hear out the farmers’ but on the other hand, an elected MP of the BJP openly abuses the farmers of our country, he said.
