Chadha accuses Punjab CM of implementing farm laws, demands his resignation

Hitting at Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), national spokesperson and Punjab Unit’s co-incharge Raghav Chadha on Wednesday claimed that the Punjab CM has betrayed the farmers. Chadha called the Punjab CM a traitor and demanded his resignation.

“It is indeed sad to note that this year has begun on such a grim note, with the biggest fraud and betrayal committed by the Congress and Captain Amarinder Singh, who have implemented the black farm laws in Punjab. The AAP demands his resignation,” said Chadha.

Calling out the Punjab CM and Congress' farce Chadha said that they have seen how the Congress claimed to openly oppose the three black farm laws.

“We’ve seen Rahul Gandhi’s regular tweets. Different members of the Congress Party will do press conferences, some would go to Jantar Mantar to protest, they would give media bytes — all of this only to show to the public and to the media that they oppose the laws. But it is they who have committed the biggest fraud,” he said.

Referring to Punjab's Minister of Food and Civil Supplies Bharat Bhushan Ashu, recent media address, where he confirmed that Punjab had opened its doors for farmers from neighbouring regions to sell their produce in Punjab Chadha claimed that Bharat Bhushan had clearly said that the three farm laws have been implemented in Punjab.

“He also mentioned how all produce is being bought and sold as per the new laws. It was also confirmed that irrespective of notification, Punjab had opened its doors for farmers from neighbouring regions to sell their produce in the State, and there will not be any MSP. There canmot be a bigger fraud, a bigger betrayal than this,” said Chadha.

“By the backdoor implementation of the three black farm laws, Captain Amarinder Singh has lied to everyone, he has betrayed not only the farmers of Punjab, but the fields of Punjab, the land of Punjab, he has betrayed the annadaatas of Punjab,” said Chadha.

“Such deceit from Captain Amarinder Singh will compel every child in Punjab to write on their arms, ‘My Chief Minister is a traitor’. We demand the resignation of the Punjab CM for the backdoor entry and implementation of the farm laws,” said Chadha.
