Even as AAP’s Karawal Nagar MlA Kapil Mishra said the Centre was “hog-tying” the hands and feet of the Arvind Kejriwal Government and that curtailing the power of Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) would be deemed as limiting the rights of the people, Delhi BJP MlA Vijender Gupta on Tuesday condemned the Arvind Kejriwal Government for insulting babus doing an honest day’s work.
Participating in the motion moved by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia regarding MHA notification, BJP leader has tried to justify that it was only clarification, not notification. He said that Delhi Chief Minister has power to transfer all employees except super time scale officials in Delhi Government.
And if there was any confusion, these issues could have been amicably resolved by Kejriwal had he initiated talks with Jung instead of playing “revenge policy and politics”. Criticising the language used by AAP members against lieutenant Governor and Prime Minister during the debate in the House, Gupta said that dignity and sanctity should be maintained by the members and they should not talk like this during debate. Gupta said that the BJP also backed the demand for the full statehood for national Capital, but noted that the AAP Government was weakening the claim by politicising the issue.
“We too have been saying that Delhi should get full statehood, we still are saying this. But what are the reasons for this vacuum (between Centre and State)IJ In my opinion, it is the Government’s approach.” “You (AAP Government) are not pitching for full statehood, but diluting it for political reasons,” the BJP legislator from Rohini asserted.
