The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has informed that all students appearing for Class XII Economics paper re-test on April 25 will appear from the same allotted centres using the same admit card. This was also notified on March 30 by the board on its official website.
About 6 lakh students across the country will appear in the re-examination for class XII Economics. The exam will be conducted at 4,000 centres across the country. CBSE informed the students that certain social media networks and online news channels are unnecessarily floating rumours that new Admit Cards will be issued by the board for the re-examination.
“Students are advised to follow the instructions as displayed earlier as no change has been made in the arrangements already notified,” said a notification from the CBSE.
“Class 12 exams are a gateway to higher education and various professional competitive exams which have limited seats. In the present scenario, the admitting institutions of higher education are likely to have reservations against this batch of students regarding Economics results, not only in India but also in foreign institution,” said CBSE.
On the other hand, many students reappearing in their class XII Economics paper said that they are little worried because of the apprehension that the re-examination paper might be tougher than the previous one. “The previous paper which got cancelled was quite easy but it got cancelled. This time I don’t think that they would give such an easy question paper,” said a student of New Delhi Public School , Vikaspuri.
A CBSE official informed that the students who will fail to appear in the re-examination on Wednesday would be marked as absent. The examination was earlier conducted on March 26 and was canceled following confirmation of paper leak. This time the CBSE has taken some extra security measures for the conduct of the exam. However, board had exempted foreign students from appearing for the exam again, since in its investigation, it did not find the leak to have impacted their results.
