Facing widespread flak and condemnation after Class   XII Economics and Class X Mathematic papers were leaked before the examinations, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued couple of alerts against fake question papers circulating on social media platforms.

The CBSE is facing the wrath of the students and parents for having failed in maintaining the sanctity of the examination. In its bid to curb the misuse of social media platforms by the rumour mongers, the board issued alerts to allay the fear that papers were being leaked at will.

CBSE issued an alert on Saturday against fake question paper of Class X Sanskrit. “It is brought to notice that an “alleged” question paper of Class X Sanskrit is being circulated on social media through YouTube link. The question paper is verified to be an earlier year’s question paper,” said the CBSE. It further says that students are alerted not to believe or subscribe to any such sites.

“It is reiterated that the question papers circulated on these social media sites are either of earlier years or fake question papers. Hence it is requested not to circulate the news about these fake papers so that students and other stakeholders are not misled,” said CBSE.

In a similar such release issued on Saturday, CBSE alerted students against fake question paper of class XII Political Science circulated on social media and you tube. CBSE said that the question paper has been verified and it was question paper of 2017.

The board has also warned students that a question paper of class XII Hindi (Elective) was being circulated on social media platforms like WhatsApp, Youtube etc. This paper is fake and being circulated with malicious intent. CBSE is scheduled to hold the Class XII Hindi (Elective) and Political Science examinations on April 2 and April 6 respectively while class 10 Sanskrit paper will be held on Monday.

While, re-examination for class XII Economics has been scheduled by the board for April 25, while no confirmed date has been announced for the re-exam for class X Mathematics.
