A CBI team on Wednesday visited the official residence of Chief Judicial Magistrate CJM Ravneet Garg, whose wife Geetanjali Garg was found shot dead at Police lines Park in Gurgaon on July 17, and questioned him and his family members for at least four hours in connection with the murder.
The CBI team recorded their statements and cross-checked all the evidence. The team recorded the statements of Geetanjali’s father Om Parkash Aggarwal also.
However, the team declined to comment on which points the CJM and his parents were grilled. According to the sources, the CBI team recorded the statement of CJM and other family members and cross checked all the detail submitted to it by SIT of Gurgaon police.
A team of CBI officials had already visited Police lines Park in Gurgaon to inspect the crime scene where her body was found besides making attempts to collect more evidence from there.
The SIT of Gurgaon Police had recovered four bullet shells from the scene of crime. A case of murder and dowry harassment was registered with the Gurgaon police against Ravneet Garg and his parents Rachna Garg and KK Garg. Geetanjali’s bullet-ridden body was recovered in high security police parade ground in the evening of July 17.
