The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday raided the office of former Finance Minister P Chidambaram’s son Karti Chidambaram.
The company name is Chess Management Services Pvt ltd first floor 146 at JMD Megapolis that is situated on Sohna Road which deals in legal compliance. The company has 56 employees, and its head office located in Chennai.
According to sources, Karti Chidambaram is facing money laundering probe linked to the dubious Aircel-Maxis deal and searches had been carried out at his offices previously too.
A CBI official confirmed the raid and said that the team spent around six hours and checked several files. But the central investigation agency did not confirm whether anything was recovered or not.
An employee working with the company said "In the morning four persons suddenly entered in the office and introduced themselves as CBI officials and asked to show several files.
