Gautam Buddh Nagar parliamentary constituency witnessed an interesting voting pattern with rural areas outshining urban localities. As per data provided by District Election Commission (DEC), Noida recorded over 55 per cent polls whereas rural areas polled around 63 per cent. Poll pundits say that heavy turnout in the rural segment is an alarming signal for BJP and Samajwadi Party as BSP has a strong support base in the rural belt. A total of 62.60 per cent polling was recorded from the constituency. Meanwhile, polling remained peaceful, barring a few minor incidents of scuffle between poll officials and voters at some places.
