Burglars crack Noida sharebroker's safe, loot Rs2 crore

Published on:

Burglars struck sharebroker Atul Tyagi’s office in Noida’s C Block Sector 31 and decamped with valuables worth Rs2.25 crore, including cash. The break-in happened on Thursday night when Tyagi’s office was closed.

Tyagi has business activities in Western UP and Noida’s Sector 31 where the safecracking took place. Since he is bullish about shares, Tyagi is known to keep a stockpile of cash at work. When office boy Shivam and a doctor — who has his chamber on the ground floor of the same building — turned in for the night, the gates to the building were breached. Assailants cracked the safe, emptied it of cash and valuables. On reaching work the following morning, Shivam dialled PCR. A complaint has been filed at Sector 20 police station.

A team of UP’s Special Task Force (STF) sealed the premises. The sharebroker and his business associates have been questioned for leads, if any.
