Now you can get your building plans sanctioned with a click of a mouse. South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has come up with a plan to grant sanction of building plans in a totally digitised way through a single window clearance.
The plan is in the form of digitally signed letter which is to be downloaded by the applicant/the architect through online while sitting at their houses. SDMC officials say that the Government of India had conceptualised an expeditious and hassle-free sanction of building plans of various categories through online mode with least paper work to facilitate the general public two years back.
Through this online method, the applicant is not required to visit the department, and can get the updated status of the application at any stage just with a single click. “With this transformation, the old process of submission of hard copy of application has been dispensed with the help of single window clearance. Common application form for sanction of building plans in respect of residential, commercial, warehouses and industrial properties is in available online/ digitized mode,” said Mukesh Yadav, Director of Public Relations in SDMC.
According to SDMC, the common application form with integration of all departments helps in reducing the number of procedure and timeline for sanction process. Moreover, the applicant can submit all applicable charges relating to all concerned departments through Municipal Corporation’s online payment mode. The applicant can download the digitally signed sanction letter but also have multiple affidavits converted into a single affidavit reducing the documentation requirements.
