Bug hits Swachchh Delhi App

It seems that the Swachchh Delhi App is only making work difficult for the municipal corporations.

lately, a bug has hit the App due to which around 5,000 complaints have been received from one number; blame it on the faulty design of the mobile application.

“There was an inherent software complaint within the App due to which a complaint was received 5000 times. The complaint was received from Najafgarh zone. However we have alerted the IT department and the executive engineers about the same,” said Ashish Sood, leader of the House of SDMC.

The three corporations have received a total of 13,000 complaints by now with SDMC alone getting more than 5,000 complaints. “We are trying to do our best. There are many loopholes in the App. It would have been better if the App would have been test before being launched,” Sood added.

Currently, the App has flaws due to which agencies are unable to address most of the complaints, said officials.

“As it requires proper mechanism, the Government must look after this. Though we have been receiving complaints there is no clarity about the location which is very necessary for us. The agency, which is forwarding complaints on behalf of the Government, is yet to mention whether the complaint is related to garbage or solid waste. If the area falls under an unauthorised colony, it must be mentioned as the Government has to collect garbage and debris from such places,” said SDMC Mayor Subhash Arya.
