Budget is nothing but gimmick: BJP

Published on:

Calling Delhi Budget a gimmick, the Delhi BJP on Thursday said that it is more or less a continuation of AAP election speeches. “They talked a lot on Budget expenses through Mohalla Sabhas dialogue and when the chance to implement came only 0.65% Budget expenditure that is just 253 crores has been given for this Swaraj Nidhi,” said Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay.

Upadhyay added that the talk of free Wifi by giving just `50 crores is to again misguide the youth. let the Delhi Govt tell can they give free Wifi in all schools, colleges and entire rural belt in just 50 croresIJ

The Delhi BJP called the allocation of funds in Education sector a farce. They said that amount will go to new building funds or new teachers salary, how will the standard of education improve, how computers or skill activities apparatus will comeIJ

The party leaders called the health Budget too misleading. “They claim 10,000 new beds in next 30 months means 300 beds i.e. almost one new hospital every month without any mention of any new big hospital coming up in the Budget,” added Upadhyay.

The BJP leaders alleged that the Budget is nothing but a political statement and like the recent advertisement campaign a overrun effort to control the damage caused to Kejriwal Government’s image due to corruption and anarchism of the ruling party’s MlAs & other leaders.
