In two separate incidents of breach of security at the highly secured Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), a Chinese national and a Korean national managed to enter inside by using a forged e-ticket and cancelled e-ticket respectively on Sunday and Tuesday.

According to a senior police official, in the first incident which took place on Sunday, a Chinese national identified as Zhao Yang, entered inside terminal building (T-3) of IGIA through departure gate number 6 with an manipulated fake e-ticket at 9:40 pm.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which guards the IGIA, noticed the suspicious passenger at the check-in area and picked him up for interrogation.

“We verified with the concerned airlines and certified that no booking was made in the name of the accused.

We immediately registered an FIR against him arrested the accused,” said the police official.

The police official told The Pioneer, that a Korean national Muke Bae was arrested on Tuesday after he entered terminal 3 by showing a cancelled ticket for a flight from Delhi to Shanghai(flight number MU564), in order to see off his wife.

“The accused had on July 27, cancelled his ticket for September 13 and had rescheduled it for September 22. But he had entered the terminal showing his ticket for September 13, which clearly shows he intentionally entered the terminal wrongfully in order to see his wife,” said the official.
