A book, Globalisation and Voices from Indian Practitioners, was launched by Minister of State for Human Resource Development Jitin Prasada at the Indian Habitat Centre on Monday. The book — edited by Amna Mirza, a Delhi University professor — talks about the impact of globalisation on Indian governance, economy, education and various other sectors.
“The aim of the book is to present an interrogation to fill up the void where an attempt is made to prod and explore as to how is this occurrence generating new stories and discernments in the lives of practitioners — doyens and amateurs alike," said Mirza. The writings in the book are multifarious with narrations by various contributing authors.
Congratulating Mirza and other contributors of the book, Prasada said, "Writing a book on such a wide subject which impacts every aspect of human life at present, is really worth appreciating." Various contributing authors of the book shared their merriment in compiling their real life perspective juxtaposed with the academic contours.
Simar Suri, one of the contributors, indicated that in the current era mechanisms to tender justice which have been in existence since centuries in the judicial system are in need of reforms.
