On the occasion of the birth anniversary of leading industrialist and former president of JK Organisation Hari Shankar Singhania, the group organised a blood donation camp in association with Rotary Blood Bank on Friday at link House on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. The camp was also to pay homage to Singhania, who passed away last year. A similar camp was held simultaneously at three centres of JK lakshmi Cement across Delhi. The function was inaugurated by Anshuman Singhania, vice-president (operations),

VK Misra, Technical Director and SC Sethi, whole-time director, in the presence of other senior executives. The first donor was PR Nair, who was the personal assistant of Singhania. A Padma Bhushan recipient, the industrialist had been actively involved with the diversified

JK Organisation since 1951.

The response to the camp was overwhelming as the timings were also extended to keep up with the rush. The donors did not give up despite the heat and humidity and came forward

to donate.
