In an interesting electoral fight, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Suneet Chauhan won as Chairman of Narela Zone. The winner was decided through draw after both Chauhan and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Reena Devi got equally11 out of 22 valid votes.
Meanwhile, Jai Bhagwan of BSP was chosen Deputy Chairman unanimously since BJP candidate Nisha Mann withdrew her nomination for the post. BJP’s Anand Singh was elected member of Standing Committee from Narela Zone by getting 12 out of 22 valid votes defeating Anil of AAP.
North Delhi Mayor Preety Agarwal said that this is a triumph of truth. The Aam Aadmi Party attempted many times to get their candidates win but all went in vain.
The AAP also nominated six members from Narela Zone to improve their strength.
