Even as Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai visited BJP MP Vijay Goel' residence on Monday requesting him to refrain from breaking odd-even rules by offering roses, Goel went on to violate the scheme. Moreover, he was not even carrying his driving license and insurance documents of his vehicle.
"On my way to Parliament in an odd numbered car to expose #oddevencorruption of AAP. Successful protest against #oddevencorruption, a scheme wid Maximum publicity & minimum effect (sic)," Goel tweeted earlier.
He was issued a challan of Rs 3,500 near Raisina Road by the Delhi Traffic Police; Rs 2,000 for violating the odd-even scheme and Rs 1,500 for driving without carrying license and other documents.
"I have been imposed the fine of Rs 2,000 for violating the odd-even rules. Besides, I have been slapped fine of Rs 1,500 for driving without license and vehicle insurance," Goel said.
