BJP's election manifesto to get a sprinkling of fairy dust!

For their election manifesto, the BJP, this time, has decided to rope in experts to decide their agenda on issues like environment and cleaning of the Yamuna. Besides, the saffron party would also make rounds in various university campuses to hold discussions with the youth seeking their suggestions. The manifesto is expected to be launched in the first week of January.

The Delhi BJP, on Friday, had its first meeting to draft its manifesto for the upcoming polls. While it plans to engage with maximum number of people to get an “insight into the people’s demand”, the party has decided to involve experts from various fields for the manifesto.

“Delhi is plagued by a few issues which need experts’ opinions. These include environment, especially air quality in the national Capital and cleaning of the Yamuna river. Our manifesto will not only be about promises but it will also offer practical and long-term solutions to problems which have been persisting and only intensifying over the years,” said senior party leader Alok Kumar.

Unlike previous years, where the manifesto preparation was a closed-room agenda, this time, the saffron brigade has planned to hold marathon meetings with representations from several groups in the city, seeking their suggestions while giving a platform to them to interact with the leaders. The party claims this to be a non-political campaign, but an activity to brainstorm on Delhi issues with the people.
