The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will file a case of corruption against ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday.
This may be noted that according to RTI response which was filed by Delhi BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana, the Delhi Government with expenditure of Rs 2,892 crore has undertaken construction of 12,782 classrooms which could have been done with a maximum spending of around Rs 800 crore.
Speaking to The Pioneer, Khurana said that this is a clear cut case of corruption. AAP has to give answer to this… "The Delhi Government is constructing classrooms of 300 square feet size with the cost of Rs 24.86 lakh," Khurana added.
Addressing a conference, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari Monday claimed that there is a scam of Rs 2,000 crore in the construction of classrooms for Delhi Government schools, an allegation rejected by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who dared Tiwari to arrest him if such irregularities exists.
"Deputy Chief Minister and Education minister Manish Sisodia talks about construction of new school rooms. There is a scam of Rs 2,000 crore in it," Tiwari. He said the Delhi government was misusing taxpayers money and asked Sisodia to step down. He also said that his party will complain to Delhi Lokayukta regarding the scam.
Tiwari also alleged favoritism and nepotism in awarding the construction contracts said that most of the people out of 34 who have been awarded contract for constructing classrooms are either the relatives of Kejriwal or Sisodia or closed to them.
Demanding the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia who also holds the portfolio of education minister, Tiwari said, "The nexus of corruption between Kejriwal and Sisodia has been exposed. The public money being looted by these two will be brought back and we will not allow such loot. we shall demand investigation of this corruption by Lokpal. Manish Sisodia should resign and face this investigation."
BJP leader also questioned Chief Minister on the budget allocation asking if the annual rise in education budget is meant for the loot.
Demanding immediate investigation into this case of corruption by ACB in the construction of classrooms, Tiwari said that whenever people discuss about falsehood the anarchy, hawala or negative politics, the face of Kejriwal appears first of all. "Kejriwal came to power by promising pollution free Delhi, free Wi-Fi, Marshal in Buses, Bijli Half-Paani Maaf etc. but instead of fulfilling the promises he is looting the people of Delhi. But in the forthcoming Assembly Elections, the people will dislodge this anarchist Government", he said.
