The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its chief Arvind Kejriwal have come under fire from all BJP candidates for lok Sabha polls in the national Capital. During their first interaction with media on Sunday, the leaders said they would expose the ‘falsehood’ and ‘anarchic’ character of the AAP during the poll campaign. Delhi BJP president and BJP’s candidate from Chandni Chowk, Dr Harsh Vardhan said both Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress were equally ‘dangerous’ for the country even as he said neither of the two parties was a challenge to the BJP. “Kejriwal and his party AAP have mastered falsehood and anarchy while the Congress is synonymous with corruption. Neither of these parties is a challenge to the BJP but both of them are equally harmful for the country,” he said.
The BJP president said the AAP leaders had little respect for the Constitution and were constantly indulged in demeaning the institutions in the country. “Contrary to claims, the AAP has compromised on corruption and has been constantly abusing the Constitution and its institutions. The AAP is very dangerous for the country,” Vardhan said adding the people of India have made up their mind to elect Narendra Modi as their Prime Minister.
The BJP leaders also attacked Kejriwal for ‘running away’ from the post of Delhi Chief Minister saying he never made any attempt to fight against corruption. “The AAP and Kejriwal stand exposed. The party is totally anarchist, playing into the foreign hands to destabilise the country,” they said. The BJP candidate from South Delhi, Ramesh Bidhuri said none of the AAP leaders represent the aam aadmi and said they will be rejected by the people in the lok Sabha polls. “Kejriwal and Shazia Ilmi, who own property worth crores of rupees or Kumar Vishwas who moves in a luxury car, cannot be aam aadmi. Their security deposit in the lok Sabha polls is sure to be forfeited,” Bidhuri said.
