BJP terms Spy Unit in vigilance dept as scam

The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on Friday attacked Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and termed the Spy Unit in the Vigilance Department as a scam. Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Sahatrabudhe said within a short span the Kejriwal Government has left the Congress Party behind in the field of corruption and it would not be exaggeration to say the people have lost their faith in the politics of change started by Delhi CM.

“Delhi BJP will expose scams of Kejriwal Government before the people in detail,” he said.

Meenakshi lekhi, MP from New Delhi, said this is not an ordinary Spy Unit scam it is a planned conspiracy to weaken the opposition or the dissent against the Government. “We have often seen such conspiracies being run by Government's in economically prosperous western countries but when we see it in Indian conditions it is a straight forward attack on the democracy. This should be tried under the criminal conspiracy sections of the law,” said lekhi while addressing a Press conference.

leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta said during the last one week, `97 crore ad scam, spy unit feedback scam and Hawala land scam have shocked the people of Delhi. “Just after coming to power the Kejriwal Government formed Spy Unit and allotted crores and engaged retired CBI, IB and Raw Officers for it,” he added.

He further said last year in its enquiry the Vigilance Department of Delhi Government has found that there was no account of money paid to this unit, there was no justification for its work and the CBI had filed PE to enquire into it on December2, 2016.
