Delhi BJP activists on Tuesday took to streets outside Transport Minister Gopal Rai’s office near Babarpur bus terminal demanding a probe by the ACB into the alleged irregularities in issuance of auto permits. Raising slogans against the Delhi Government, the protesters also demanded resignation of Rai for the alleged auto permit scam in his department.
“Mere suspension of three officials was just a cover-up to save the higher-ups involved in the scam. We have been demanding an investigation into the irregularities committed in issuing auto permits by the Anti Corruption Branch(ACB),” said Anand Trivedi, convenor of Delhi BJP’s transport cell.
“We also demand a thorough probe into the scam including the role of the Transport Minister in it,” Trivedi said.
