The Delhi BJP has criticised the Delhi Government over massive unauthorised construction being done in Delhi Ministers’residential complex near Raj Niwas. The issue of unauthorised constructions has been a hot topic during the discussion and debate in the legislative Assembly, but has however continued unabated.
The Delhi BJP, in a letter written to lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and North DMC Commissioner PK Gupta, has drawn their attention towards massive illegal construction being done at the housing complex of Delhi Ministers at 8, Rajniwas Marg. The BJP has urged the l-G to direct the North DMC to stop this construction and to demolish it.
BJP argued that in this four acre complex, there are three Ministerial Bungalows occupied by Delhi Ministers Gopal Rai, Satyendra Jain and Sandeep Kumar. In the Civil line area only limited construction is allowed in the plots and in the 8, Rajniwas Marg complex occupied by the Ministers are large 2,000 square yards open area is being illegally covered without any permission or sanction.
During the Assembly held last week, a host of issues were discussed. The issue of unauthorised colonies and illegal construction drew much attention with the MlAs demanding strict action against those guilty of illegal construction.BJP MlA Jadgish Pradhan had pointed out that the menace of illegal construction is growing at a breakneck speed. “If a person wants to build a house in Delhi or getting construction done, he needs to fill a couple of pockets before he puts the first brick. The issue of illegal colonies needs to be addressed,” he said.
